03How does a project with SmartAxis start?
It starts with a free introductory call. Then comes a one-to-two-week discovery phase in which we map your goals and constraints, followed by an architecture and roadmap with clear estimates. Delivery runs in two-week sprints with a working demo at the end of each one.
04Can you take over or modernize an existing system?
Yes. We regularly audit and modernize legacy systems — for example moving monoliths to microservices or migrating thousands of stored procedures into maintainable services without downtime, as we did for an education platform with 10 million users.
05How do you handle communication and time zones?
We are a remote-first team that works with clients worldwide. We agree on overlapping hours with your team, communicate in English through your preferred tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira) and show progress in a live demo every sprint.
06Who owns the source code and intellectual property?
You do. The code lives in your repositories from day one, and all intellectual property is transferred to you. We are happy to sign an NDA before discussing details.
